The Adam Palmer Sustainability Fund (Palmer Fund) is designed to raise and disperse funds towards achieving “Net Zero by 2030” within the Town of Eagle.
The Palmer Fund was first envisioned in the summer of 2021 after the tragic death of Adam Palmer, Andy Jessen, and Seth Bossung in an avalanche near Silverton, CO on February 1st, 2021. Adam was a champion for sustainability as an Eagle Town Council member and beyond. The Palmer Fund intends to honor Adam’s legacy by supporting local economic and community development through the lens of sustainability.
Why we do this.
Mission
The mission of the Palmer Fund is to partner with community leaders to achieve net-zero carbon consumption in the Town of Eagle by 2030 through philanthropy, green infrastructure, revolving loans, and grant funding.
With the Town of Eagle’s goal to achieve net zero carbon consumption by 2030, the Palmer Fund will be a critical partner in helping the Town reach that objective. The Palmer Fund will provide significant and direct environmental benefits to the public through funding projects that increase the availability of clean, affordable, and reliable energy, projects that protect access to parks and open space, and projects that ensure ongoing availability of natural resources.
Make a donation.
Ready to contribute?
Donations will be used to establish a green revolving fund. Loans will be made from the fund with below-market interest rates and to entities that might otherwise not be able to access capital. Fifty-one percent or more of the loans will be earmarked for minority-owned, women-owned, rural, and/or income-qualified entities.
No ifs, ands, or buts.
Triple bottom line of sustainability.
The Palmer Fund will honor the triple bottom line of sustainability, operating as an organization that sees equal value in stewardship of the environment, human dignity, and financial resources. At the end of the day, we envision a Town of Eagle that is sustainable, inclusive, and fun.
Our goal through the Adam Palmer Sustainability Fund is to make that vision a reality.
