The Palmer Fund supports individuals, nonprofit organizations, and businesses in a green infrastructure transformation in the town of Eagle, Colorado. Prospective awardees should review the impact areas and scoring rubric before applying.

We are stoked to see you share our goal of Net Zero 2030 and honored to help you reach it. Grantees are important partners of the Palmer Fund because you are doing THE WORK to make the green transition. 

Scope

The Palmer Fund will make grants for the purpose of rural community development through a sustainability lens. The intention is to increase the availability of capital to spur community and economic development in our rural locale. These grants will make many projects possible that will decrease the burden of local government.

Application

The Palmer Fund is proud to offer over $34,000 in sustainability grants, on a rolling basis. This year's grant awards will be determined at the regular SAC Meetings.

Your application shows commitment to sustainability in the Town of Eagle. Thank you for your application! 

Our team is available for questions at kira.koppel@townofeagle.org. The Adam Palmer Sustainability Fund works closely with the Town of Eagle through the SAC to administer the grant. All funding is restricted to projects within the Town of Eagle and will be evaluated based on environmental, economic, and social impact.

    SCORE OF 4 | PROFICIENT
    Moderate to substantive potential for GHG emissions reduction.

    SCORE OF 3 | DEVELOPING
    Some evidence of GHG reduction potential.

    SCORE OF 2 | EMERGING
    Little potential for GHG emissions reduction.

    SCORE OF 1 | MINIMAL
    No anticipated reduction in GHG emissions detailed.

  • SCORE OF 5 | EXCEPTIONAL
    Long-lasting, or diverse community involvement/education with a clear plan.

    Comprehensive community engagement and education strategy.

    Directly relates to an NAP strategy or net-zero goal, but with a less clear explanation of advancement.

    SCORE OF 3 | DEVELOPING
    General understanding of NZAP strategies/goals, but alignment is unclear.

    SCORE OF 2 | EMERGING
    Vague understanding of NZAP strategies with little articulation of project advancement.

    SCORE OF 1 | MINIMAL
    No alignment with NAP strategies or goals.

    • GHG Reduction Potential: Scoring will consider the cost per metric ton of GHG reduction (for comparison) and be scaled to the funding request (larger requests need greater reduction).

    • GHG Methodology: A separate checkbox will confirm if the applicant explained their GHG calculation methodology and cited sources:
      *GHG calculation methodology is explained within the application, and sources are cited or mentioned.

    • Community Education & Awareness: Scoring will be adjusted based on the funding ask; larger requests will be scored more critically.

    • Examples of engagement channels include newsletters, social media, press releases, planned events, and staff support.
